Alabama Shakes will be not only touring again in 2025 but they will in fact be stopping in Austin Texas to perform at the Moody Center. Led by the infectious Brittany Howard Alabama Shakes has been a staple for the Rock and Blues scene for the past 10 years and is considered by many to be one of the more underrated groups of the modern music scene.
The group did go on a hiatus following the release of Howards album titled Jamie. It was noted at the time that the group was not disbanding, but taking a break and it is great to know that true to their word, they are still an active group.
Under the ATO Label the group is known for their energetic and emotion filled songs that always have a way of getting you to move and make that coveted Stank Face, which as we all know, is one of the ultimate complements one musician can give another.
Alabama Shakes is a musicians band and Brittany Howard is a powerhouse singer/songwriter and guitarist. Labeled by some as the reincarnation of the late great Sister rosetta Tharp it is easy to see the soulful parallels between the two, right down to the SG guitar.
The group will be playing at the Moody Center on September 25th of 2025 and tickets are currently on sale. We look forward to bringing you more coverage from the show.
